A simple, yet ingenious way to save lives in war-torn countries.

"Mine Kafon" by Callum Cooper is a finalist in a film competition called "Focus Forward." In this short piece, the filmmaker demonstrates a cheap solution to clearing landmines.

Every time this giant ball hits a mine, it only loses a couple of legs. At roughly $50, it's certainly less costly than having, say, human beings do the work.
