Markov in Saturday barring sebacks

Canadiens assistant captain Andrei Markov will be in the lineup Saturday, barring any other further setbacks in his recovery.   Coach Jacques Martin says this weekend, not Wednesday will be when his veteran defenseman returns to duty.   But a source close to the team tells CJAD 800 the plan is for Markov to see his first regular season game action at home against the Panthers, not Friday night on Long Island against the Islanders.

The Habs are making no lineup changes for tonight's game against the Coyotes.   Carey Price makes his 8th straight start, suggesting Alex Auld will face the Islanders either Wednesday or Friday.

Second-year Hab Tom Pyatt was all smiles after practise, admitting he bought dinner for a Coyote last night.   His brother Taylor and their parents are in Montreal for tonight's game.

Now the Habs will be unstoppable. But who do you take out of the lineup? Picard? OK fine...get Markov and Subban playing together again. But not fair that Picard goes down to the farm (2-way deal) when O'Burn should be dealt or dumped!
