Happy 25th Anniversary to Perron, Roy, Lemieux and Chelly

Has it already been 25 years since the city of Montreal and planet Habs celebrated the club's 23rd Stanley Cup? The Canadiens hoisted Hockey's Holy Grail after eliminating the Flames in game 5 in Calgary on Saturday, May 24, 1986.

Head coach Jean Perron and a couple of his then fellow rookies, 20-year-old goalie Patrick Roy and his money playoff scorer Claude Lemieux, along with defenceman Chris Chelios take a trip down memory lane with CJAD 800 (Listen to them wax nostalgic below their pictures).

Oh what high school memories in 1986 including the magic ride provided by the Habs. Thanks also to Bob, Larry, Green, Ludwig, Carbo, Nilan, Walter, Skrudland, McPhee, Kordic and all of you (Sergio too). Here's hoping I don't have to wait for my kids to be in high school before the next Cup even though we did win #24 in 1993.
