Subban looks ahead to Haiti and hockey
Defenceman PK Subban took some time to talk hockey in the minutes leading up to his departure for Haiti, where he, along with former Hab Georges Laraque, will be visiting a children's hospital that was severely damaged by last year's earthquake.
Prior to boarding his flight at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, Subban looked ahead to a season that will include some changes along the Montreal blueline, along with the addition of Erik Cole up front.
The reconstruction of the hospital is being funded in part by Hockey for Haiti, a fundraising project initiated by Laraque, the National Hockey League Players' Association and World Vision Canada.
To date, Hockey for Haiti has raised $1.3 million towards the reconstruction of Grace Children's Hospital.
