Trotter returns from KHL exile
Head Coach Jacques Martin singled out Brock Trotter for praise on a day when another young forward Gabriel Dumont scored a hat-trick.
For Trotter it is vital to be noticed. The former Hamilton Bulldog who spent a year in the KHL with Riga Latvia, is fighting for his NHL career this Habs' Camp.
"I'm getting my feet back where they need to be," says Trotter.
His goal was always to come back, ideally to Montreal. But recent events have given every KHL player pause to think.
"It hit a lot of people pretty hard...that was the last place I flew out of before I left Latvia," admitted Trotter. "My heart goes out to all of the families."
"It makes you think it could have been anyone...any team."
