Gill back with team, no return for Markov prior to California

Hal Gill joined his mates for a team meeting at Brossard after spending some time in hospital with an infection, caused by cut, according to head coach Jacques Martin.

Martin said there is no firm timetime for a possible return to action for Gill, who has missed three games as the Canadiens prepare to play host to the New York Rangers Saturday night. Josh Gorges says it was great to see Gill back with the team.

As for Andrei Markov, who has been skating with the club of late, Martin says he will not return to action prior to their California trip which beings November 30th with the Canadiens in Anaheim.

The only healthy Habs to take advantage of the ice time at Brossard were Carey Price, Mathieu Darche, and Peter Budaj.  The recuperating Jaroslav Spacek and Chris Campoli took turns as well; Spacek in sweatpants and Campoli in full gear.

Glad to see they are getting healthy. Won't make a difference though just changing 4 quarters for a looney. Same inconsistent product every year. Win 2 lose 3, win 3 lose 2. Other teams let their rookies (eg: Stamos, Seguin, Hall, Skinner and a few more) play and not keep them in the minors for years so they can mature, (at 16 I understand but at 21 if they haven't matured well next player please) then bring them up when the team is losing expecting to make a difference. Ok some do not pan out but the ones that are promising should play and some guys that are dead wood Gomez, Gill, Darche should be put out to pasture or we end up in 7th place again scrounging for a playoff spot, out in the first series and start over again. Next step is up tio the fans to stop showing up, to show their displeasure with the way things are being run because if every year the team makes x amout of dollars win or lose fine, but if they see they do not make x amount then the team will finally realize that we fans want changes. Just a thought.
