Gill back with team, no return for Markov prior to California
Hal Gill joined his mates for a team meeting at Brossard after spending some time in hospital with an infection, caused by cut, according to head coach Jacques Martin.
Martin said there is no firm timetime for a possible return to action for Gill, who has missed three games as the Canadiens prepare to play host to the New York Rangers Saturday night. Josh Gorges says it was great to see Gill back with the team.
As for Andrei Markov, who has been skating with the club of late, Martin says he will not return to action prior to their California trip which beings November 30th with the Canadiens in Anaheim.
The only healthy Habs to take advantage of the ice time at Brossard were Carey Price, Mathieu Darche, and Peter Budaj. The recuperating Jaroslav Spacek and Chris Campoli took turns as well; Spacek in sweatpants and Campoli in full gear.
