Martin predicts: Habs make playoffs, he coaches again

Jacques Martin insists he didn't see the axe falling.   Do you believe him?  Does it matter at this point?

The ex-Canadiens coach predicts on the Andrew Carter Morning Show the Canadiens will rally to make the playoffs.  And that he'll be back coaching in the NHL one day.

He laughed when asked if the Habs could have "lost almost every game" with him still coaching, not Randy Cunneyworth.

Is Subban a problem in the room?  Should the Habs deal him?

Martin preached patience and suggested the future is still bright for the potential franchise player.

Martin tells CJAD his "scouting job" will likely involve more evaluation and development of Canadiens prospects.

He insists he still has the desire to be a head coach again in the NHL, but for now has been given a break to promote his annual hockey school, the longest-running bilingual school in the province and in Ontario (with 30 years of experience).   Find out more at
