Price ready, Subban ears ringing
Carey Price returned to the crease at practise, recovered from a minor foot injury that kept him out of the Sunday's fan practise at the Bell Centre. Price did make an appearance at the Montreal Auto Show later that day, but was finally able to get back in skates on the eve of the Red Wings game.
Rene Bourque is off sick battling the flu; Travis Moen and Petteri Nokelainen also missed practise because of upper body injuries. Bourque should be fine for the Wings' game Wednesday, but the other 2 forwards are likely to miss the game, prompting a callup or 2 from the Bulldogs.
Habs assistant Coach Randy Ladouceur got everyone's attention with a voluble invitation to PK Subban 40 minutes into drills to "wake the____up!"
Subban has been struggling at times this season, exchanged looks with Ladouceur in Pittsburgh, and was recently fined fby the NHL for foolish in-game behaviour.
Ryan White practised again with his teammates, but will not play before the Allstar Break.
Randy Cunneyworth insisted Andrei Markov continues to make progress but of course...there is no timeline for his return to skating at Brossard in public view, or practising with his teammates.
Price defended his goalie-buddy Tim Thomas for exercising his free speach rights and boycotting the Bruins' White House reception. Price admits he has not read the "Thomas Manifesto" but supported the Bruin for backing up his beliefs with actions.
