Deja vu with Lemaire?

The Canadiens have been there done that.  But that doesn't mean they won't do it again.   Jacques Lemaire could be back on the radar yet again.

Sources suggest to CJAD 800 that the Hockey Hall of Famer was in fact offered the coaching job in the days leading up to the firing of Jacques Martin.  But Lemaire said no and Pierre Gauthier then went with Plan C---Randy Cunneyworth.

There are no indications that Lemaire has been offered the coaching job again, but the vacant GM job may also be of interest.   Lemaire would be a strong figure to contain a combustible rookie head coach...say---Patrick Roy?!

Sources also tell CJAD Cunneyworth could be offered a job-switch with Clement Jodoin: Cunney returning to the Bulldogs as head coach, with Jodoin returning to the Canadiens as an assistant.

Jacques Lemaire, mpossibly. Patrick Roy, never! Let's go with the pros. Emotion doesn't take the place of capabilities. No more experimenting with non-NHL coaches!

    Lemaire as GM in Mtl...

    That would be awesome...
A scientifically calculated blend of youth and experience... with ROY as coach...

I would see Larry Robinson as a assistant coach too... for the defensemen...

Damphousse would be a nice AGM, he knows the CBA as well as anybody...

Hire Roy!! Don't let the last ever Habs legend go elsewhere. Yeah, he's nuts, but I'd take a chance because he'll do everything to win.
