The Canadiens shouldn't take a chance on Patrick Roy.

End of story.

Yes they should. Patrick Roy has the intensity & passion needed for a coach, has a storied history with the Habs, is bilingual, and would be a great mentor for Carey Price.

I agree with Abe. What some people call passion is hot-headedness and lack of self control for others. As a coach in "The Q" he has already made a name for himself that would get him suspended in the NHL.

Patrick may have a future as an NHL coach eventually, but not yet and certainly not based on his resume to date. If Les Canadiens are basing their selection criteria on Francophones with name recognition, they may as well offer the job to Pauline Marois.
