Gazette legend Red Fisher calls it a career
After more than 50 years on the Montreal Canadiens' beat, Red Fisher is retiring.
Gazette publisher Alan Allnutt shared the news this morning, telling readers that Red came into his office this week to tell him that he has written his last column for The Gazette. "He's done."
CJAD contributors Michael Farber and Dave Stubbs both worked with Red at the Gazette; Faber, earlier in his career, before moving on to Sports Illustrated where he reports on CJAD as SI's lead hockey writer. Stubbs worked with Fisher as Red's sports editor, and when Red was sports editor.
