Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin has announced the signing of first round draft pick Alex Galchenyuk to a three-year contract. As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

With the contract under his belt, Alex says he can now continue to focus on training.

Alex, who is 18, is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was the Canadiens’ first round selection, third overall at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
