NHL cancels more games
Arenas around the NHL will remain dark for at least another three weeks. 96 more regular-season games have been wiped off the schedule Friday along with the January 27th all-star game at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
The best-case scenario for the NHL is a shortened schedule of perhaps 60 games per team. And
all of those games may be played within a team's own conference.
There will be no games at all unless there's a new collective bargaining agreement. But the sides have to talk to make progress and they haven't met since Wednesday. That's when the NHLPA presented a new proposal. And they have no current plans to meet again.
