Gallagher bracing for big hit---Rookie Dinner
A year ago he was the buzz at the Bell Centre and Habs Training camp. This fall Brendan Gallagher has adjusted to life on the farm---the farm team that is---and he's leading the Hamilton Bulldogs in goals and point-scoring as the calendar turns to December this weekend.
Gallgaher has survived his first pro fight and now is bracing for another big hit of a different kind: the Bulldogs annual Rookie Dinner.
"At least there's a lot of us to share the hit," jokes Gallagher in a free-raning conversation about getting used to new head coach Sylvain Lefebvre and surviving the prankish ways of Blake Geoffrion and other jokesters in the Hamilton locker-room.
Listen to Brendan Gallagher on his new coach and getting used to life in the pros. He's even willing to take on longtime NHL defenseman Roman Hamrlik who recently became a flashpoint against union solidarity while enduring his 3rd career lockout.
