Therrien, Bergevin optimistic for NHL New Year
They would have preferred to have their players with them, but the Canadiens won't let a Lockout spoil the Christmas Spirit.
General Manager Marc Bergevin, Head Coach Michel Therrien and popular Anciens like Rejean Houle, Chris "Knuckles" Nilan and Sergio Momesso (a former CJAD broadcaster) worked the halls of Ste. Justine's and the Montreal Childrens' Hospitals spreading good cheer and gifts in "bleu, blanc, rouge."
Bergevin made clear that he'll be happy to ruin top draft pick Alex Galchenyuk's dream of World Junior gold---to get him to an abbreviated NHL training camp for a shot at making the Habs.
Michel Therrien admitted he's got only one wish this Holiday Season: "Let's get some hockey."
