Let the Habs Games begin
NHL hockey could be back at the Bell Centre as soon as Saturday Jan. 19, and if some fans are still holding a grudge against owners and players, the so-called billionaires versus millionaires, at least the business buzz around the Bell will be back.
A tentative deal is the "Little Christmas" gift from Commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA head Donald Fehr, though their tentative 10-year deal must be ratified by the players.
Montreal Canadiens players in Europe are already making plans to come home; NHL stars like Sidney Crosby are happy they held off heading over there in the first place.
With so much to get done in so little time, it will be interesting to see how the Habs shape up for the "2012-13" season: GM's will be able to buy out 2 players and that means Scott Gomez, Tomas Kaberle and Rene Bourque have to prove they belong.
The peace deal is a 10-year CBA though it can be "reopened" at the 8 year mark.
