Max Pacioretty calls it a "great day and great start to the New Year." Canadiens owner Geoff Molson tweeted "On joue au hockey! Let's play hockey!"
Canadiens player rep Josh Gorges declared "Today is a good day!!!"
The face of the NHL for many fans, Sidney Crosby: "Thank you to all of our fans for hanging in there with us! I am really happy that a deal was reached and we're all excited to get back to playing hockey."
