Kaberle focused on saved season
Is Tomas Kaberle the Habs' "Biggest Loser"? Only he knows for sure.
With an NHL season finally on the horizon, a svelt looking Carey Price (who weighs in at just 209 pounds for the first time since playing junior hockey) reflected back on the 113 day lockout, saying that while many players headed overseas, sticking closer to home was the best decision for him.
And while Price made no bones about his weight, defenseman Tomas Kaberle, also looking the fittest he has in years. was less commital for where he's at on the scale
"Every pound you feel, and it's all about you how feel. It doesn't matter if it's 5 or 15 pounds."
Kaberle was one of the players who opted to head to Europe during the lockout, signing with Kladno in the Czech Republic. He started career with the franchise and played for Kladno during the 2004-05 lockout. and said while it was nice to be back in his home country, it's even nicer to have an NHL season.
"I played there the whole season in 2004-2005. It was lots of fun but obviously here is where everybody wants to play and i'm glad they found a way, both sides, and now it's all about business again."
