The 2 Gallys stay

Why wait for a 5th game on the CBA-permitted callup from junior hockey when Michel Therrien and Marc Bergevin can see what 21,273 believed after last nite's win over the Devils---the rookies are here to stay.

The Canadiens' coach and GM told Brendan Gallagher and 18-year old Alex Galchenyuk before practise they will not be sent back to the Bulldogs or the junior ranks in the case of the now former property of the Sarnia Sting.

Galchenyuk is tied for 4th in rookie scoring but leads all rookie forwards in icetime during his 4-game NHL audition.

Gallagher earned an assist on "Chuckie"'s first NHL goal and was set up by his linemate for his 1st NHL goal against the Devils last Sunday.

At practise Monday in Brossard Coach Therrien stuck with his hot combos: The 2 Gallys skating with Brandon Prust, who has already rejected the possibility of letting Galchenyuk move in with him, though tongue in cheek considered "babysitting" as a "package deal."

The only mystery surrounding the 2013 Habs now is the fate of PK Subban, huddling with agent Don Meehan again Monday.  The Canadiens at 3-1 are off to their best start since 2005 without the flashy defenseman.
