Darche hangs up his skates
DARCHE COMING UP ON ANDREW CARTER MORNING SHOW THURSDAY:
Listen to Mathieu Darche at 8:50 Thursday AM with Andrew Carter on life after NHL playing days.
After helping save the season by joining the NHLPA bargaining team during the Lockout, don't be surprised if Darche lands a job in hockey and furthers his dream of going from on-ice to front office boss.
Future GM? Don't rule it out.
For the record, Darche would become the youngest member of the Canadiens "Anciens" if and when he laces up for any of their charity games---he's several months younger than current Anciens Mathieu Dandenault.
Mathieu Darche announced his retirement hitting the twitterverse with "time to make it official! Moving on to second career".
Along with the message, the 36 year-old posted a picture of a pair of skates hung up on the wall.
Over his 12 year pro hockey career, Darche played 149 of his 250 NHL games with the Canadiens.
