Less than 12 hours after sending Greg Pateryn packing back to Hamilton, Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin has recalled Jarred Tinordi from the Bulldogs.

Tinordi will practise with the team Friday---Coach Therrien having rewarded the Habs with a day off for beating Ottawa 4-3 in a shootout at the Bell Centre Wednesday night---and travel to New Jersey with the club Friday for probable duty against the Devils.

The lanky defenseman is filling out on his 6'6 frame (now officially listed at 218 pounds).  He's racked up 51 penalty minutes in 55 games (scoring 2 goals, 9 assists with the Dogs.)

Pateryn played only 6:59 against the Senators (all at even-strength) doling out 1 hit but escaping without a goal being scored while he was on the ice.

Tinordi was the Canadiens' top draft pick in 2010 (22nd overall) and is the son of former NHL veteran Mark Tinordi.
