Chara case now in the hands of the Crown

Montreal police are done with the investigation into the infamous Zdeno Chara hit on Max Pacioretty.

The decision on whether to lay criminal charges against the Bruins captain is now in the hands of the Crown.

Authorities got involved with the case this past spring, not long after the March 8 hit which left Pacioretty with a cracked vertebra and a concussion.

There were fears Pacioretty would never play again, but the Habs' No. 67 is expected to be back next season.

Chara wasn't suspended by the NHL for the hit, which sparked massive outrage in Montreal.

    Let this go already. This was not an intentional attempt to kill the guy. Montrealers , we all need to just move on. Montreal is the only city in the NHL that would be so extreme. Let it go already, Pacioretty is back and alright which is the most important thing, even he does not want Police intervention.

    Welcome to Montreal where we can waste city resources on a file that everyone knows is just for show.

    But we won't spend a dime on repairing infrastructure.

    Maybe Max should sue the Molson's for not providing a safe work environment.
