Madonna tickets sell out in 20 minutes

Tickets to the Aug. 30 Madonna concert at the Bell Centre went on sale at noon Saturday. But they didn't last long.

The 16,000 tickets sold out in about 20 minutes.

They had been selling for $59.50, $99.50, $181.50 and $372.

In the Internet age, of course, there are other options for those left out in the cold, but said options will cost you.

Tickets for the Montreal show have already appeared on Ebay, at several times the face value. Four tickets on the floor (row JJ), for instance, will set you back $4,333.44. And that doesn't include a $10 shipping charge.

On Friday, 65,000 tickets for her Sept. 1 Quebec City show on the Plains of Abraham sold out in an hour.

Madonna's 2012 World Tour begins in Tel Aviv, Israel, on May 29. The tour will also bring her to Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.

It must be said the the number of tickets available today are always less than what is available, more like 13 or 14 makes for a nice press release, but they don't consider the pre-sales from places like the fan clubs, American Express cardholders, and tix held back for promoters' friends

Waste of 400 smackers. Get real $1000 for two, parking, dinner drinks whatever, peeps have got out their mind, and at the end of the show believe me she will say thank you montreal in her canadiens shirt, but not be thanking you for the applause but thanking you for being such great suckers. Enjoy the show. Nobody is worth that much.
