What's open and what's closed on Easter Monday

Just about every municipal, provincial and federal government institution will be closed on Easter Monday. Most of Quebec's government-run liquor stores, however, will be open normal hours.

The post office is also closed, with the exception of most postal counters that operate out of carious retail operations.

City officials have not announced any garbage or recycling collection cancellations. The city's 3-1-1 line is open, just in case you want to make sure.

The Biodome is open, as is the Botanical Garden and the Insectarium are also open every day of the long weekend. The Pointe-a-Callière museum is closed Monday.

Large grocery stores and most other stores and malls can open on Easter Monday, along with public markets. Banks that had been closed on Good Friday will be open on Easter Monday.

Public transit in your neighborhood is likely to be on a weekend schedule today. Visit the STM website, or the AMT website, for more information.

And parking meters will have to be fed, as usual.
