Suspects identified in smoke bomb attacks

A sociology student, a sexology student and a geography student from the University of Quebec at Montreal have been indentified as suspects in yesterday's smoke bomb attacks in the Metro system.

La Presse this morning says the trio, two women and a man , are among four people that Montreal police have identified as suspects.

They were recognized by arson squad investigators who had viewed security camera video.

The newspaper says they are all members of a more radical faction of the Classe student union , which is already considered the most militant of the three student unions involved in the tuition protests.

It is not known if they have met with police investigators.

Police are still looking for a fourth male suspect.

You can see their images here.

    If these people are members of the Classe then this group should be immediately removed from the study group and there should be no more negotiating with these urban terrorists. Their union should be charged with any costs involved for the disruption of services and a class law suit started against the group by the inconvenienced travelers.

      @Jon Urban Terrorists? Ur definitely not from Montreal or haven't grown up here. I got caught just like everyone else in the morning delay but I can safely say your comment blew me out of the water...you all assume they are a part of the original protests so again people like you who pump the dis-info out there...you are not helping and you are creating more of a problem than anything....just my opinion.

    Ok, great. Where can I sign up to get on the jury ? I promise I will be "fair" and objective....LOL. Hope the team of four dummies get what they deserve....

    When caught they will apolagise sincerely , say how they had no idea the smoke bombs would create such a disruption , their lawyers will point out that they are hard working students and it woukd not be fair to risk their futures over an error in judgement , so they will be given suspended sentences and some community work .... What would happen to them if their names were Achmed , Ali , and Mohamed ?

      @Chris I personally hope they throw the book at these first four and get them to turn in their co conspirators. I'll give them some credit for turning themselves in. The government needs to make it clear these actions are not taken lightly and are not acceptable.

    Sorry the real reason is for increased "Security": this is the second time this has happened if you don't remember. There is a term for it:

    a·gent pro·vo·ca·teur   [ey-juhnt pruh-vok-uh-tur; Fr. a-zhahn praw-vaw-ka-tœr] Show IPA
    noun, plural a·gents pro·vo·ca·teurs  [ey-juhnts pruh-vok-uh-tur; Fr. a-zhahn praw-vaw-ka-tœr] Show IPA.
    a secret agent hired to incite suspected persons to some illegal action, outbreak, etc., that will make them liable to punishment.

    Sorry, I know some students can be a little radical - but i've lived here all my life and this is not normal behavior...

      @AnonymousA Stop drinking the Kool-aid.
      Those 4 were not agents of any sort except agents of their own agenda.
