Could Hartley be Habs next coach?
Looks like Patrick Roy is out of the running as the Canadiens search for a new head coach.
Le Journal de Quebec reports he and Habs speacal advisor Serge Savard did talk onthe phone, a call apparently made by Savard, that Savard made the call as a courtesy to determine how Roy felt about such a move.
The paper says Montreal could very well name Bob Hartley as its bench boss.
Hartley is an advisor to the head coach of the Shawinigan Cataractes.
He's also the head coach of hockey team in Switzerland, but his contract icnludes clauses allowing him to leave for an NHL coaching job.
The Canadiens recently announced Marc Bergevin was their choice for the position of general manager.
The Cataractes host London Sunday for the Memorial Cup.
