Family questions man's death in police custody

Provincial police will only say he tried to escape, lost his balance, hit his head on a car bumper and then died.

A 26-year old man died while in Montreal police custody late last week.

Kesavan Ketheswaran was handcuffed following a confrontation involving three people at Decarie and Royalmount.

His brother tells CTV Montreal the injuries point to something else.

"They're severe, they don't look like a fall, cause if you saw the side of his head, doesn't look like he fell. He was hit or something", says his brother Arthan Subramanian.

Provincial police have taken over the investigation.
