PQ lashes out at Liberal attack ad
The provincal opposition has reacted to a Liberal TV ad featuring Parti Quebecois leader Pauline Marois.
Among other things, it's calling the ad very bush.
The black and white 15-second, no voice-over, slo-mo commercial shows Marois banging two pot lids, seemingly a Liberal ploy to focus attention on the PQ's support of protesting students.
PQ MNA Bernard Drainville says premier Charest is turning negative because his record is shameful.
"He cannot defend his record on corruption, he cannot defend alliof the scandals that have engulfed his government, cannot defend the great giveaway of our natural resources. So when you cannot defend what you did, what do you do, you attack the opponent", says PQ MNA Bernard Drainville.
He adds the ad draws attention to the Liberals' own weaknesses and that the public sees the ad for what it is, an attempt, he says, to manipulate the electorate.
Meantime, the man who shot the amateur video on a cellphone reportedly wants the ad pulled.
