Quebec TV and radio ads aimed at sleepy drivers
A Quebec TV and radio ad campaign is about to start airing aimed at sleepy drivers.
Quebec's automobile insurance board says drivers usually drive for longer periods in the summer and that fatigue often sets in.
Fatigue is said to be the number three cause of deaths on Quebec roads after drunk driving and speeding.
The S-A-A-Q says an average of 116 people die behind the wheel annually due to fatigue, almost 10-thousand more are hurt.
The board says drivers who are tired should rest every two hours.
It adds cranking up the radio and opening the window are not effective.
