Annual Carifiesta parade rolls downtown
It was quite the scene for a annual Carribean-themed event in downtown Montreal.
The 37th annual Carifiesta parade took place Saturday afternoon.
It ran along along Rene Levesque between Guy and Phillips Square.
A spokesperson for the parade calls it a big success, saying some 20-thousand people lined up to watch it, that the crowd was bigger this year.
The event, featuring flamboyant colors as well as entertainent, highlights different Carribean cultures.
This year festivities featured ten dancing groups.
