Get ready for a 9-cent spike in gas prices

Once again, a heads-up. Gas prices are on their way up.

Reports suggest some gas stations in town have raised their price for a litre of regular to 137.4.

That's a 9-cent-a-litre jump.

By Tuesday morning, most other gas stations in town are expected to follow suit.

One good reason... just one? As I recollect, some years ago, the province had appointed a regulator to assure that the oil companies were no in collusion and fixing prices.. Yet, it seems that like clock work, every Wednesday night gas prices go up a few cents to counteract the Thursday discount on Premium Gas, and then again the price goes up and down in a predictable manner throughout the week.

God forbid if there is any news of unrest in any oil producing country, or adjacent region because we can all expect prices to go sky rocketing... They all seem to take, but never give back...

When gas prices hit bottom, do you think we see the prices go back below $1.10? Hell no. Makes a good case for walking or using public transport.
