The city of Montreal has dished out $115,000 to former executive committee chairman, and current Lachine mayor, Claude Dauphin.

Dauphin sued the city when he learned he was at the center of an internal investigation by the city's former comptroller, over possible conflict of interest concerns in 2009. The issues was mainly that his emails were looked through.

The city awarded $100,000 for legal fees and $15,000 for moral damages.

Both parties have agreed not to comment further on the matter.
