CLASSE not backing any political party

The CLASSE student group says it won't back any political party during a summer Quebec election campaign.

The militant group has said it opposes the Liberals, and will challenge premier Charest's party if it tries to take advantage of the student unrest over tutition fees.

CLASSE spokesman Gabriel Nadeau Dubois adds his group is focused on ideas and not on political parties.

There's speculation Quebecers will go to the polls in early September.

CLASSE has held its weekend meeting in Quebec City.

Gabriel Nadeau Dubois says CLASSE is not supporting any political party. Would you rent an apartment to this guy if you had one available?

@murrayl If his aim is to remove the present government you have to assume his has a preference for the party to replace them.
