It will be a hot July and August
This might be the right summer to invest in an air conditioner, if you don't have one already. That's because this hot weather we've been experiencing isn't going to stop.
Environment Canada's Senior Climatologist David Philips says, the warmer than normal temperatures we've been having will continue for the rest of the summer.
"You've just had about 31 months in a row of warmer than normal temperatures, and our models are saying, expect more of the same."
Philips adds that in the last five weeks there have been ten days of above 30-degree weather when we would normally get about three days. As for precipitation, he says hotter temperatures usually bring rain and he expects there might be more of it as the summer wears on.
