Twitter debate results in firing of CAQ candidate

The leader of the Coalition for the Future of Quebec has dismissed a candidate, saying comments  on his Twitter feed were unacceptable and did not reflect CAQ values.

Francois Legault has fired Chomedy candidate Kamal Lutfi after Lutfi called separatist opponents "racists" during a Twitter debate.

Legault says such generalizations are not acceptable and he wants a calm discussion of the issues in the election campaign which is expected to be called by the end of the month.

This goes to prove that Legault is still a separatist...the tweet hit a sore spot...otherwise the tweet in question wouldn`t have bothered him !!

So governments will fire people over comments on twitter but not incompetence when it comes to our crumbling infrastructure, mismanagement of the public coffer, and the many other problems we have here in our province. Quebec politics is a joke, nothing but children running the show.
