Montrealer to swim the English Channel
An N.D.G. man is going for gold, all for a cause he firmly believes in.
43 year old Alan Clack plans to swim the English Channel this year, on his birthday, September 6th.
"It's an endurance event. It's fourteen hours at least." said Alan Clack.
No wetsuit. In the cold 60 degree water. The crossing will definately be a mental challenge, but it's all for a special cause.
The Montreal Children's hospital Family Resource Centre, which helps families cope, during a child's illness.
"And it also provides computers, phones and office space, so that families can be with their children more."
Clack's goal is to raise $33,000 dollars, part of the Montreal Children's Hospital 1 kilometre - 1 million dollar fundraising drive.
