Charest confirms candidacy in Sherbrooke
It seems it's one of the last steps ahead of Wednesday's expected election call in Quebec City.
Premier Charest has confirmed his candidacy in the riding of Sherbrooke, a riding he's represented for years.
He did so at a hotel in Sherbrooke Tuesday evening.
Student protesters showed up at the Delta Sherbrooke, but police kept them at bay.
The premier has a meeting with the lieutenant-governor Wednesday morning after which he's expected to call an election for September 4th.
