Two South Shore residents have been arrested after an Industry Canada small business loan program was allegedly bilked of more than $10 million dollars.

43 year old Bruno Ciaburro, and his common-law wife, 39 year old Julie Paquette, both from St. Bruno-de-Montarville, are charged with fraud and making false documents.

The Mounties say the fraud scheme involved misleading Industry Canada officials into paying out loans for small businesses.

Ciaburro and Paquette were released with a promise to appear in Longueuil court in October.
