Premier Charest warns anglos against voting for the CAQ

Posted By: Claude Beaulieu · 8/8/2012 2:08:00 PM

Once a separatist, always a separatist.  That appeared to be Jean Charest's warning to anyone suggesting that anglophone Quebecers should vote strategically against the Liberals and for Francois Legault's CAQ party.

Jean Charest warns that there are two ways to get another sovereignty referendum in Quebec. One way is to vote for any party other than the Quebec Liberals.  The other way, says Charest is to not vote at all.

As for the CAQ and Francois Legault, the premier says Legault has always been a separatist and will still be a separatist after election day, come what mayP

One reporter asked the Premier what his Liberals will do for anglos. Charest answered only that his liberals have long been supportive of key anglo institutions, like McGill and Concordia universities

With that, the Premier thanked reporters and walked away, abruptly ending the news conference.

I'm an Anglo and I'm voting PQ this time.
Reason is that I want this province to get what it deserves.(and I despise the liberals...its a spite my nose for my face thing)

I do not believe we can ever get better until we hit rock bottom
with the PQ will surely hit rock bottom
and the people who will suffer the most will actually be the french not the english.

Because once you hit rock bottom you can only come up under the rules of others.
and coming back up the quebecois will not be in control.

If you don't believe me study history people...

    Merci Monsieur Charest
However I am in agreement with Robert Libman, ang for way too long you have taken our community for granted. Hopefully in the national assembly we will have a third alternative which will make concessions and understand that economic growth requires our two linguistic communities to work together for the common good as Quebecers and Canadians.

The Liberals won't do anything for the Anglos nor will the other parties... It's gonna be a very tough race. Who will offer the best lie. As a Anglo, I think the only way to be noticed is... Move!! As sad as it sounds... That's the best option. Why pay high taxes to a province that won't even listen to you. invest in separation and language police.. Language Police??? i mean really??? Are we in a communist country where we pay high taxes for our businesses but can't have the language of choice?? Liberals were in power for how many years?? have they helped us?? They hired more language police... Here we are in country like Canada the privilege to vote and you are stopped at the polls cause there's nobody there to help us..... Sad but true....
