There was a deadly shooting Friday evening in the parking lot of Galeries d'Anjou shopping centre.

The violence spilled into the mall afterwards, as one of the victims tried to escape his attackers by running inside.

"I was shocked for sure," said Michael Gagnon, who was inside the mall when the shooting took place. "We saw blood when we arrived. I think we arrived five or ten minutes after everybody was shot."

Two men were hit, one died in hospital.

The other, the one who escaped into the mall, survived.

Police say they're looking for two suspects but would not discuss a motive for the shootings. 

Both victims were known to police.
