Victoriaville Liberal convention draws few protesters
Protests were expected this afternoon in Victoriaville, where The youth wing of the Liberal party will be holding their convention. But it seems like most people who have been demonstrating against the Charest government chose to stay home.
Liberal leader Jean Charest was at the convention and addressed his young troops, touting the Plan Nord, and saying all royalties from the plan to develop and mine northern Quebec, would go towards paying down the debt.
The town of about 50,000 residents, halfway between Montreal and Quebec city saw major protests this spring during the Liberal Party's general assembly.
