Montreal police are looking for help from the public in their investigation of a suspected loan-sharking operation they believe was active in and around Lasalle.

Police arrested three men back on April 25th on suspicion of running a loansharking and extortion operation out of the Haraiki Bar on Schevchenko Boulevard in Lasalle.  They say the suspects, 43 year old Larry Cooney, 34-year old Ryan Dellazizzo and 30-year old Jeffrey Tritsis would meet their victims at the bar and lend them money, notalby to pay off gambling debts.  Investigators say the suspects would use threats and, sometimes, physical violence if a debtor missed a payment.

Police think there may be more victims than they've yet learned of, and are asking anyone who was a victim or who knows of one to contact their neighbourhood police.
