Blood-alcohol test ordered in car/bus crash
Montreal police confirm they are investigating whether alcohol may have played a role in Tuesday's deadly collision between a car and a bus in Dorval.
Police say they're expecting test results possibly today or tomorrow from a blood sample taken from the 33-year old woman who was driving the BMW involved in the crash. Depending on the bloodtest results, the driver could face criminal charges.
Police spokesman Jean-Pierre Brabant says it will take a few days longer to complete the analysis of the scene of the accident. He won't speculate on other possible factors to explain the accident that claimed the lives of the passenger of the BMW and of the driver of the bus: whether someone was speeding and whether one of the vehicles had burned a red light.
