Bellemare won't run against Charest; will back PQ
Former Liberal justice minister Marc Bellemare has decided not to run against his old boss, Jean Charest, in the premier's longtime riding of Sherbrooke.
He said an independent candidacy "wasn't necessary."
He had threatened to become a candidate, but Friday morning he announced he would be backing the PQ's candidate, former Bloc MP Serge Cardin instead.
