The Viau metro station is open again after Thursday night's roof incident at the Maurice Richard Arena in the east end.

A large metal layer of its roof was peeled back because of strong winds.

The city says most of the security perimeter will stay in place until Tuesday morning.

It adds Viau between Hochelaga and Sherbrooke should reopen by Saturday afternoon.

The arena, which opened in the early 60's, has been undergoing renovations.

No one was hurt and an investigation continues.
