Thai police say insecticide poisoning killed Que. sisters
Thai police say insecticide poisoning is behind the deaths of two Quebec sisters in Pohénégamook, Thailand.
A local newspaper, however, says police did not provide any further details on the mysterious deaths of Audrey and Noemi Belanger, who were both in their 20s.
The newspaper suggests the insecticide might have been in a jar the women drank some sort of alcohol or juice from.
Autopsies were conducted when the bodies returned to Montreal, but the coroner has not yet released the results.
Their father is calling for an in-depth inquiry into their deaths, adding he's convinced his daughters didn't know what they were consuming.
