Charest tours Laval on election day
While the other leaders are keeping low profiles today, Jean Charest visited seven ridings, 4 of which were in Laval.
The Liberal leader was greeted by a crowd of supporters at each of the ridings he visited. His first stop was Laval des Rapides where analysts are calling for a tight 3-way race between the CAQ's candidate Maud Cohen, former student leader now PQ candidate Leo Bureau-Blouin and the Liberal junior finance minister Alain Paquet.
Despite being under the weather, Charest says he's feeling good.
"I am feeling confident," he tells CJAD. "And I hope to get my voice back by tonight."
A few student protesters tried to distract the Premier chanting slogans as he hopped off the campaign bus in the Vimont district. As he spoke to his supporters Charest said they're a reminder that Quebecers have a choice today to vote for a government that stands up for their rights and isn't swayed by intimidation.
