Judge okays price-fixing lawsuit against oil companies
A class-action lawsuit against the major oil companies was given the go-ahead by a Quebec judge.
The plaintiffs, including the Automobile Protection Association, accuse the oil companies of price-fixing in the Eastern Townships, the Beauce, Lower St. Lawrence and Quebec City regions.
A similar suit was launched back in 2009, which accused retailers operating in the Victoriaville and Sherbrooke areas.
Ultramar, Couche-Tard, Olco and Irving are among the companies being targeted.
