Police are investigating after a suspicious envelope was delivered to the home of a Conservative senator in St. Eustache.

It arrived at the home of Senator Claude Carignan.

The envelope was addressed to Carignan's son, who noticed some sort of a white powder.

He didn't open it and called police.

The son and another person were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The senator himself is out of the country on vacation.
