Ile Bizard water hookup -- soon

Some residents of Ile Bizard are still waiting for work to start to finally connect their homes to municipal sewer and drinking water systems. When will the work begin? CJAD News went looking for an answer.

Ile-Bizard-Sainte-Genevieve borough mayor Richard Belanger says the technical details have been worked out, the contracts have been awarded and the 157 homeowners who've been waiting to finally be connected to the Pierrefonds water distribution system have been told to expect the work to begin "soon".

As soon as the quebec environment ministry gives the final thumbs up, says the borough mayor.

Belanger expects that final government approval within the next two weeks. The work would then begin almost immediately, with completion expected by December 2013.
